The CTP Environnement Group reports on its experience with SchemPID software

ctp-environnement

The CTP environnement group specializes in industrial chemical cleaning and effluent treatment. It offers cleaning services for thermal equipment and designs mobile units to treat all types of industrial effluent. These solutions are deployed in over 45 countries in various sectors, including the nuclear industry.
For its operations, CTP environnement has a fleet of fully automated mobile units, which can be adapted or developed to meet the specific requirements of each customer.

Faced with the growth in piping and instrumentation studies, CTP environnement has equipped itself with SchemPID CAD software.

Hugo B, Head of the Design Office, answers our questions:

Why use software dedicated to P&ID?

When it comes to developing a process, the P&ID is a crucial step. You need to be able to easily define the process on a drawing, and then evolve, enrich and share it. Faced with the challenges of developing our business, we had to turn to a reliable and efficient tool.

Why choose SchemPID?

Compared with the other solutions we’ve tried, SchemPID offers the major advantage of enabling you to edit, modify and, above all, synchronize equipment lists and bills of materials with drawings. It’s a real comfort to be able to bring these two essential machine design and manufacturing tools to life simultaneously. As for the rest, it’s easy to get to grips with, and all our colleagues can work with shared libraries, which means we can harmonize our production processes.

What do users do with SchemPID?

Users edit P&IDs, lists and BOMs. We’ll be developing datasheets in a second phase. We’re also in the process of testing the possibility of editing our site preparation lists in the same way as equipment lists.

Who are PIDs designed for?

PIDs are primarily intended for those involved in the development and modification of our machines: customers, project managers, engineers and technicians. Generally speaking, they are made available in PDF format to all users of our units, thanks to a QR code system.

What do you think of FTZ’s service (technical support, training)?

FTZ service was present and relevant in all phases of the implementation of our new tool. When it came to choosing the tool, we received clear, detailed presentations. When it came to deployment, the technical department was on hand for every stage of installing the software in our IT system. When it came time to get to grips with the system, we were able to organize a full three-day training course. In addition, the technical support team responds to our requests, whether for technical details or additional training.
