The cabling software supplied by FTZ (SchemBAT) is developed in compliance with the NF C 15-100 standard
The NF C 15-100 standard applies to the :
  • Low-voltage electrical installations in individual and collective housing
  • Both new buildings and renovations
  • The safety of persons and property and takes into account the regulatory provisions relating to accessibility for persons with disabilities.
  • Compliance with RT2012 relating to energy savings.

Bathroom volume and common equipotential bonding

Volumes :
  • 0 : shower tray and bathtub bottom.
  • 1 : above volume 0 and up to 2.25m from the bottom of the bathtub.
  • 2 : 0.6m around volume 1 and up to 2.25m from the bottom of the bathtub or shower tray.
  • Hidden: under the shower tray and under the bathtub.
An equipotential bonding has to be realised in two different ways :
  • Either by connecting the elements to each other in a step-by-step manner
  • Or with a specific connection box for all the circuits concerned

The number of sockets per circuit is limited to :
  • 8 when supplied in 1.5 mm².
  • 12 when supplied in 2.5 mm².
  • The 6 sockets in the kitchen (4 of which are high up) must be wired in 2.5 on a dedicated 16A circuit.

The number of lighting points powered per circuit is limited to 8.
In the case of spotlights or light strips, there is one lighting point per 300 VA.
The use of fuses to protect the circuits is forbidden (circuit breakers mandatory).

Outdoor appliances (e.g. wall lights and sockets) must be wired in sheath + wire and not in sheath + wire.
The NF C 15-100 standard also deals with the following subjects:

  • Protection of installations against overcurrents of atmospheric origin (Lightning arrester)

  • Housing sheath (GTL)
  • RT2012
